DA from July-2012: Cabinet Meeting will be held today (24-09-2012)

As per Aaj Tak News Channel the Cabinet Meeting to approve the 7% enhancement in Dearness Allowance for Central Government  will be held in todays’ evening i.e. 24/09/2012.
Once approved the total Dearness Allowance payable from 1st July 2012 will be 72% of total pay. Employees are likely to get 3 months arrears in cash and the enhanced pay will be effected from the salary of October 2012. Pensioners are likely to get it with the pension of October 2012.

As per Samay Live.com:-

The Union Cabinet will meet on Monday to consider a 7 per cent hike in Dearness Allowance to 80 lakh central government employees and pensioners.

The meeting is scheduled to held at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh residence, 7, Race Course Road in New Delhi.
The government is planning to give a seven per cent increase in DA of 80 lakh central government employees and pensioners reeling under the impact of diesel price hike and high inflation.

he Union Cabinet is expected to meet this evening to consider a 7 per cent hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) of Central government employees.

Once approved, it will benefit over 52 lakh government employees.
