New CGHS Dispensary in Gurgaon, Sector 55-56

There is only one Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) dispensary in Gurgaon catering to the large number of people who have settled in this area.  The details of the number of beneficiaries registered with this dispensary and the number of doctors and other para-medical staff appointed in the dispensary are as follows:-

No. of card holders- 9,290
No of beneficiaries- 30,445
No. of doctors- 10
No. of paramedical staff- 07

Keeping in view the large number of CGHS beneficiaries residing in Gurgaon, a second dispensary for Gurgaon has been approved. The construction work of the CGHS dispensary premises at Sector 55-56 has already been initiated by Central Public Works Department (CPWD). Further, a CMO in-charge for the proposed dispensary has also been nominated, who is interacting with the concerned agencies to get the work expedited for ensuring opening of the dispensary at the earliest

The above information was submitted by the Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad in Lok Sabha in reply of an unstarred question details are given below:-
