Designating the retired CAPF personnel as Ex-CAPF and Ex-Servicemen Status

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an OM to provide the status of “ex-central police personnel” to more than 15 lakh Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel on par with the “ex-servicemen” status of the armed forces. However, the ministry has put the onus on the respective state governments, leaving it to them to offer the post-retirement benefits to the CAPF personnel.  The text of OM is reproduced here:-

No name of assam rifle tho Assam Rifles k jawan ko kon se facility hai bolo plzz rules army k hai tho kya hai assam rifle bs bol tha ho ki assam rifle IThe Assam Rifles is the oldest paramilitary force of India.[2] The unit can trace its lineage back to a paramilitary police force that was formed under the British in 1835 called Cachar Levy. Since then the Assam Rifles have undergone a number of name changes before the name Assam Rifles was finally adopted in 1917.[3] Over the course of its history, the Assam Rifles and its predecessor units have served in a number of roles, conflicts and theatres including World War I where they served in Europe and the Middle East, and World War II where they served mainly in Burma. In the post World War II period the Assam Rifles has expanded greatly as has its role. There are currently 46 battalions[ only aaj b assam rifle k jawan ko koi facility ka nhi pta h
