RECRUITMENT IN IB

5545 . Shri ANURAG SINGH THAKUR

Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:-

(a) the number of personnel hired by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) every year since 2009;
(b) the number of persons that the IB trained during the said period;
(c) the annual percentage growth of manpower in the IB during the said period;
(d) whether the Government has any proposal to recruit personnel in the IB services from regions affected by   terrorism, political and ethnic problems; and
(e) if so, the time by which such personnel are likely to be recruited?

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI R. P. N. SINGH)

(a): The number of personnel hired by IB since 2008-09 is as follows:-

2009-10 1434
2010-11 1242
2011-12 2112
2012-13 1103

(b): Following number of persons have been trained by IB during the said period:-

(c): the annual percentage growth of manpower in the IB during the said period is as under :-

(d) to (e): The recruitment in IB is done on All India basis, except at the level of Security Assistant /Executive. No specific regional recruitment is proposed for the present.
