Details of presently functioning CGHS Dispensaries, Proposal for New Dispensaries and status of new dispensaries likely to setup:-
Details of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) dispensaries presently functioning in the country, State/UT-wise is at Annexure-I.

CGHS is presently operational in 26 cities. Several States did not have the presence of CGHS. There have been regular demands for extension of CGHS to new cities. It was therefore felt necessary to have at least one CGHS Wellness centre in the capital city of all States. After concurrence of the Department of Expenditure, orders have been issued in this regard on 19.11.2014 for the following cities:
  • Raipur (Chhattisgarh)
  • Shimla (Himachal Pradesh)
  • Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh)
  • Panaji (Goa)
  • Agartala (Tripura)
  • Imphal (Manipur)
  • Aizawl (Mizoram)
  • Kohima (Nagaland)
  • Gangtok (Sikkim)
  • Gandhinagar (Gujarat)
  • Pudduchery (Pudduchery – UT)
  • Indore (Madhya Pradesh)
In addition, since the new state of Andhra Pradesh did not have any Wellness centre, a centre is being opened at Vishakhapatnam.
Status regarding opening of these new CGHS Wellness Centres is at Annexure-II.
In order to provide adequate healthcare services to its beneficiaries, CGHS has also empanelled a large number of private hospitals for inpatient treatment and diagnostic centres at different places in the country in addition to CGHS Wellness Centres, polyclinics, dental units and labs. Details of the number of such private hospitals and diagnostic centres empanelled under CGHS as on date in various CGHS Cities is at Annexure – III.

Himachal Pradesh Shimla Efforts are on for securing government accommodation; advertisement has also been issued for pvt. accommodation
Arunachal Pradesh Itanagar State Govt. agreed to provide 2 rooms
Goa Panaji Pursuing with AIR for accommodation
Tripura Agartala Advertisement for accommodation issued
Manipur Imphal Advertisement for accommodation is being issued
Mizoram Aizawl 2nd time Advertisement for accommodation issued
Nagaland Kohima Rented accommodation has been identified
Sikkim Gangtok Pvt. Accommodation available , rent is being assessed by CPWD
Pudducherry – UT Pudduchery State government allotted accommodation
Madhya Pradesh Indore Building is being renovated

    In the new state of andhra pradesh there is no CGHS WELLNESS CENTER in the 4 Rayalaseema districts.so it is requested to open a CGHS WELLNESS CENTER in Tirupati which is a biggest city and thousands of employees and pensioners are living.

    sacret heart hospital, maqsudan jalnandhar is empanelled with CGHS.
    i have checked the list of empaneled in reception.

    Inspite of letters, memos submitted to PM , HM and H&FW ministers for opening CGHS dipensary at Jalandhar and impaneled hospitals in differen city of Punjab .MsP of Punjab all are only enjoying . All parties are not in favour of Punjab and always centre Govt. partial with Punjab. For collection of medicines We vahe to go to Chandigarh and all treatment on cash payment from private doctors because centre Govt. is only for people living in capitals.

    Why there is no hospital for Punjab,Chandigarh is quite far off.There should be at least one hospital in Jalabdhar,Amritsar and Patiala.Hope to be considered.

    I am living in Parbhani City (Maharashtra) and collecting medicines from Aurangabad which is 200 Kms. one way.So in effect I travel a total of 400 Kms. and spend more than 8 hours for the journey by train. If one has to see the doctor for emergency, or get the BP, Blood sugar or other Lab tests for Urine, Blood , or X-ray, is it convenient to undertake such a long journey particularly if one is suffering from general ailments like Fever. Cough, Cold etc? I became a member of ECHS because they had told the plan was to have ECHS in every District of all the states. After more than a decade,nothing is changed for many people like me.
