PAY EROSION OF JE
- Sr. Technician working under JE-II.
- JE-II was the promotion post for Sr. Technician.
- JE-I was the promotion post for JE-II.
- After 5th CPC Rlys equated Sr. Technician with JE-II.
- After 6th CPC Rlys equated Sr. Technician with JE-I.
- Two grade negative progression for JE-I.
- 7th CPC ignored the facts.
- Immediate attention & redressal is warranted.
- Justified pay for JE demanded.

Rly upgraded Sr.Tech on par
with JE-II violating the principle of supervisors should be paid more than those being supervised. Sr. Tech made as cadre post pay fixation allowed. |
6th recommended separate Grade Pay for JE (JE-II & JE-I merged) &Sr.Tech and stated that senior post should have higher GP and promotion should happen progressively in higher GP. |
Rly upgraded Sr.Tech on par with JE violating 6th CPC recommendation. JE-I is equated with Sr.Tech who were two grades below. |
