Subject: Clarification regarding dental treatment in private hospitals recognized under CGHS/CS(MA) Rules, 1944 for CS(MA) beneficiaries.
The undersigned is directed to refer this Ministry’s OM. of even No. dated 16.12.2015 on the above mentioned subject wherein it was clarified that medical facilities, which also include dental treatment, can be availed by CS(MA) beneficiaries in any private hospital recognized under CGHS/CS(MA) Rules, 1944 and the hospitals recognized by the State Government on the recommendation of their concerned AMA and after obtaining permission from their respective Department/Ministry while the other terms and conditions as laid down in O.M. No.S.14020/2/87-MS dated 23.01.1989 remains the same.
2. Further clarification was sought in this regard in the meeting of the Standing Committee of National Council (JCM) held on 25.10.2016 under the Chairmanship of Secretary, DoPT. It is hereby clarified that dental treatment can be availed by CS(MA) beneficiaries in any private hospital recognized under CGHS/CS(MA) Rules, 1944 and hospitals recognized by State Government on the recommendation of their concerned AMA and after obtaining permission from their respective Department/Ministry and No Objection Certificate from nearest Government hospital is not required.

An employee of BSNL treatment of teeth scaling and claim submitted to office for reimbursement. But I think teeth scaling is cosmetic treatment.
So I want a clarification teeth scaling claim reimbursable or not, kindly clarification send me of my email id.
