Subject Amendment in rule 10-A (procedure for imposing penalty after discharge) consequent upon revision of Rule 10 of GDS (Conduct & Engagement) Rules, 2011.

The undersigned is directed to refer to Rule 10-A of GDS regarding procedure for imposing penalty after discharge of GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2011.
2. Consequent upon revision of Rule 10 of GDS (Conduct & Engagement) Rules, revised Rule 10 of GDS consist of sub para 10A to 10E and there exists a Rule 10-A (procedure for imposing penalty after discharge) in GDS (Conduct & Engagement) Rules, 2011. Therefore, the Competent Authority has approved the change in name of Rule 10-A as Rule 10F of GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2011 for all categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS).
3. All the contents of the Rule 10-A now Renamed as Rule-10F shall remain unchanged.
4. The above instructions will come into effect from the date of issue of the O.M. dated 07.05.2019 vide which procedure for minor and major penalty was introduced.
