Sub:- Treatment of Period of Absence of Railway Employees deputed for periodical medical examination.

Detailed provision for treatment of Railway employees when deputed for periodical medical examination has been provided in para 524 of IRMM-2000. However, instances have come to the notice of that the Board at difficulties are being faced by employees in this regard, NFIR have also raised the issue and have requested the Board to issue instructions to the zonal instructions to the zonal Railways’s regard.
It is, therefore, reiterated that the period spent during periodical medical examination of employees should be strictly decided in accordance with the provisions contained in para 524 of IRMM-2000.
