Subject: Amendment in Treasury Rules of Central Government- Volume I.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 283 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following amendment to the Treasury Rules of the Central Government Vol.I:

Correction Slip No.77

 Rule 162:
The following rule may be substituted for the existing rule:

“The Cheque shall be payable at any time within a period of three months from the date of issue; thus a cheque bearing the 20th January is payable any time upto the 19th April.”
