Sub: Fare structure of Vande Bharat Sleeper Express.
It has been decided to introduce Vande Bharat sleeper Express over Indian Railways with higher speed, comfort, facilities and enhanced safety features.
2.0. Fare structure:
2.1. Basic fare: Basic fare table of 1AC, 2AC & 3AC classes of Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is enclosed herewith. The enclosed basic fare is all inclusive.
2.2. Goods and Services Tax as applicable shall be levied separately.
2.3. Minimum chargeable distance shall be 400 km.
2.4. Rounding off of fare shall be made as per existing principle.
2.5. Only confirmed tickets shall be issued for this train. Accordingly, there shall be no provision for RAC/waitlisted/partially confirmed tickets.
2.6. All available berths will be available from the day of Advance Reservation Period (ARP).
2.7 There shall be only Ladies quota, quota for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Senior Citizen quota and Duty Pass quota as per existing instructions issued from time to time. No other reservation quota shall be applicable in this train.
3.0. Other conditions:
- Only those passes/ warrants/ other such instruments which are fully reimbursable shall be allowed for buying tickets.
- The eligibility of Duty Pass for Railway employees shall be at par with eligibility in Rajdhani type trains.
- Concessional tickets and tickets against free complimentary passes which are not reimbursed shall not be admissible in this train.
- Normal child fare rules shall apply.
- To enable initiation of refund within 24 hours of cancellation, all payments shall be accepted only digitally. When ticket is purchased at window, the preferred payment mode shall be digitally. In case a customer is unable to make digital payment, the refund against cancellation will be made as per normal terms.
- Wherever a passenger is travelling with a child for whom separate berth is not required, the system shall, if available, allocate lower berth.
- For male passengers 60 years and above and female passengers of 45 years and above, the system will try to allot lower berth automatically subject to availability and compaction.
4.0. CRIS is requested to make necessary changes in the software.
5.0. Each Zonal Railway shall ensure that necessary actions are taken to make available the requisite details to all the concerned staff well in advance.
6.0. The receipt of this letter may be acknowledged. Also please check these instructions on the Indian Railways website-www.indianrailways.gov.in under the head “Commercial Circulars”.
