Kendriya Vidyalayas Functional in Delhi

Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:

(a) the total number of Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) functional in Delhi along with the number of students studying/enrolled therein at present;

(b) the total number of applications received every year for admission in the Kendriya Vidyalayas in Delhi, during the last three years;

(c) whether requests have been received by the Government for opening more KVs in Delhi;

(d) if so, the details thereof; and

(e) whether any proposal is under consideration of the Government to open more KVs in Delhi, if so, the details thereof?

(a) As per the information received from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), 47 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) are presently functioning in Delhi, with a total enrolment of 1,19,060 students.

(b) The year-wise number of applications received for admission in KVs in Delhi during the last three years is as under:

(c) to (e) Opening of new KVs is a continuous process. KVs are opened primarily to cater to the educational needs of the wards of transferable Central Government Employees including Defence & Para-Military personnel, Central Autonomous Bodies, Central Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and Central Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) by providing a common programme of education throughout the country. Proposals for opening of new KVs may be sponsored by Ministries or Departments of the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories Administrations, with commitment to provide requisite extent of land, free of cost and suitable rent-free temporary accommodation for setting up a new KV, as per Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) norms. As per information received from KVS, no feasible proposal for opening of new KVs in Delhi has been received from the Government of NCT of Delhi.

क्या शिक्षा मंत्री यह बताने की कृपा करेंगे किः

(क) वर्तमान में दिल्ली में कार्यशील केंद्रीय विद्यालयों (केवी) की कुल संख्या कितनी है और उनमें पढ़ने वाले/पंजीकृत छात्रों की संख्या कितनी है;

(ख) पिछले तीन वर्षों के दौरान दिल्ली के केंद्रीय विद्यालयों में प्रवेश के लिए प्रतिवर्ष प्राप्त आवेदनों की कुल संख्या कितनी है;

(ग) क्या सरकार को दिल्ली में और अधिक केंद्रीय विद्यालय खोलने के लिए अनुरोध प्राप्त हुए हैं;

(घ) यदि हाँ, तो तत्संबंधी ब्यौरा क्या है; और

(ङ) क्या दिल्ली में और अधिक केंद्रीय विद्यालय खोलने का कोई प्रस्ताव सरकार के विचाराधीन है, यदि हाँ, तो तत्संबंधी ब्यौरा क्या है?

(क): केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संगठन (केविसं) से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, दिल्ली में वर्तमान में 47 केंद्रीय विद्यालय (केवि) कार्यात्मक हैं, जिनमें कुल 1,19,060 छात्र नामांकित हैं।

(ख): विगत तीन वर्षों के दौरान दिल्ली में केवि में प्रवेश के लिए प्राप्त आवेदनों की वर्ष-वार संख्या निम्नानुसार है:

(ग) से (ङ): नए केवि खोलना एक सतत् प्रक्रिया है। केवि पूरे देश में शिक्षा का एक समान कार्यक्रम प्रदान करने हेतु मुख्य रूप से केंद्र सरकार के स्थानांतरणीय कर्मचारियों सहित रक्षा और अर्ध-सैन्य कर्मियों, केंद्रीय स्वायत्त निकायों, केंद्रीय सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उपक्रमों (पीएसयू) और केंद्रीय उच्च शिक्षा संस्थान (आईएचएल) के बच्चों की शैक्षिक जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए खोले जाते हैं।

नए केवि खोलने के प्रस्ताव भारत सरकार के मंत्रालयों या विभागों/राज्य सरकारों/संघ राज्य क्षेत्रों (यूटी) प्रशासनों द्वारा प्रायोजित किए जा सकते है जिसमें केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संगठन (केविसं) के मानदंडों के अनुसार एक नया केवि स्थापित करने के लिए निःशुल्क अपेक्षित भूमि और उपयुक्त किराया-मुक्त अस्थायी आवास को उपलब्ध कराने की प्रतिबद्धता शामिल होती है। केविसं से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, दिल्ली में नए केवि खोलने के लिए राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र दिल्ली सरकार से कोई व्यवहार्य प्रस्ताव प्राप्त नहीं हुआ है।
