Subject: Compliance of prescription of Generic Medicines in Central Government Hospitals/ CGHS Facilities
In continuation of this Directorate’s Office Order of even number (No. 2.2801 7/27/2023-SAS-Ill) dated 12.05.2023, it is reiterated that prescription of Generic Medicines should be strictly followed in Central Government Hospitals. Any deviations from the compliance is being viewed seriously.
2. All Heads of Central Government Hospitals, CGHS Wellness Centers, and Polyciinics are requested to:
- Monitor prescriptions periodically to promote and adhere to 100% generic medicine prescription compliance.
- Share a brief quarterly compliance update with Office of the undersigned.
3. Heads of Departments will remain the primary points of contact for monitoring and guidance needed to facilitate smooth implementation and adherence.
