Compensation Amount
Next of Kin (NOK) of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel killed in action are entitled to get a lump-sum ex-gratia compensation of Rs.15 lakh (Rupees fifteen lakh) as per Department of Pensions and Pensioner’s Welfare (DOP&PW) Office Memorandum dated 02/9/2008. In addition, the NOK of the deceased is also entitled to get pension under the Liberalized Pensionary Award (LPA) Rules. No such complaint has come to the notice of the Government or has been received through the CAPFs.
This was stated by Shri R.P.N.Singh, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs in written reply to a question by Shri Mahabali Singh in the Lok Sabha today.
