OROP for Armed Forces is under consideration and No OROP for Paramilitary Forces: Govt replied a series of question in Rajya Sabha

A series of questions on One Rank One Pension was scheduled to answer by Ministry of Defence on the first day of current Monsoon Session of Rajya Sabha.  All the questions regarding One Rank One Pension to Armed Forces answered with same reply that modalities for implementation are presently under consideration and on the question whether OROP is available for Para Military Forces govt replied “NO”.  The details of questions scheduled to answer on 21st July, 2015 are furnished below:-

(क) सरकार को वन रैंक – वन पेंशन योजना को लागू करने में क्या परेशानी हो रही है और इसे कब तक लागू कर दिया जाएगा;

(ख) इस योजना के लागू होने के बाद रक्षा मंत्रालय के बजट पर कितना वित्तीय बोझ पड़ेगा;

(ग) इस योजना को लागू करने में मंत्रालय को किन कानूनी अड़चनों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है; और

(घ) क्या सरकार अर्द्धसैनिक बलों के लिए भी इस योजना को लागू करने की कोई नीति बना रही है?

(क) से (ग) : सशस्त्र सेनाओं के लिए वन रैंक वन पेंशन के सिद्धांत को सरकार द्वारा स्वीकार कर लिया गया है । इसके कार्यान्वयन के तौर-तरीकों पर विभिन्न हितधारकों के साथ विचार-विमर्श किया गया था और वर्तमान में यह सरकार के विचाराधीन है । एक बार तौर-तरीकों को सरकार द्वारा अनुमोदित किये जाते ही इसे कार्यान्वित किया जाएगा ।
