Sub: Proposals for posting of Sr. Consultants and forwarding of options by Doctors belonging to IRHS and Dental Doctors under the Ministry of Railways – Instructions reg.
Ref: Board’s letters of even No. dt 20/9/18, 20/11/19 and 24/12/19.
In continuation of the instructions contained in Board’s letters quoted under reference, the matter related to forwarding to the Board’s office of options submitted by the serving doctors has been further considered by the competent authority.
2. Para 6 of Board’s letter dated 20/9/18 should now be read as under:-
“6. All the options submitted by serving doctors belonging to IRHS and Dental Doctors under the Ministry of Railways to serve the govt. after attaining the age of 62 years upto 65 years will be forwarded by the Personnel Branches of the Railways/ PUs concerned to the Board’s office (Secretary’s Confdl. Cell) and a copy of the option will also be endorsed to DG/RHS. The forwarding letter will also indicate the following:-
i. Whether the proposed IRHS officer is a GDMO or a Specialist? If he is a Specialist, his specialty should be indicated.
ii. In case the Railway/ PU is sending a proposal for Board’s consideration for posting of an IRHS officer as Sr. Consultant, then the Railway/ PU will make a declaration that with the posting of the proposed IRHS officer, the total number of Sr. Consultants would be within 5% of the total cadre strength.”
The posting orders of all such doctors who opt to work after 62 years of age will be issued by Railway Board keeping in view the administrative requirements in consultation with DG/RHS and approval of competent authority.
