Sub: Engagement of Ex-Servicemen as Gatemen on Contract Basis.

Ref: (i) Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2021/RC-4/1 dated 06.10.2023 (RBE No.113/2023).
(ii) WR’s letter no. W350/0(Policy)(Comp no. 65528) dated 09.10.2023.
(iii) SWR’s letter no. SWR/P.563/Gr. D/CEN-02/2018&01/2019 (Rect-230) dated 02.11.2023.

In partial modification of Board’s letter of even number cited under reference, it has now been decided to allot to Western Railway a quota of 1139 number of ex-servicemen for Engineering Gates by diverting the quota of 767 [Engg.(674) & Traffic(93)] number of ex-servicemen initially allotted to SWR and allotting additional 372 (1139-767) number of ex-servicemen to be engaged as Engg. Gateman in order to meet WR’s requirement of 1139 (767+372) number of ex-servicemen for engineering gates. Accordingly, revised distribution of quota for SWR and WR 1s indicated in the enclosed ‘Annexure’.

2. All other terms and conditions contained in Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2021/RC-4/1 dated 06.10.2023 (RBE No.113/2023) will remain same.
