Sub: Assessed rent of sub-standard quarters.
Ref : (i) Board’s letter No. F(X)II-63-RN1/7 dated 08.7.1963.
(ii) Board’s letter No. F(X)I-2003/11/1(DC/JCM Meeting) dated 29.7.2003.
Instructions regarding assessment of rent of sub-standard quarters were issued vide Board’s letter under reference (i) above. During the PNM/NFIR meeting held in 2024, it was requested by the Staff side to reiterate the provisions of Board’s letter dated 08.07.1963 related to the reduction in rent of sub-standard quarters.
2. Accordingly, the instructions contained in Board’s letter No. F(X)II-63-RN1/7 dated 08.7.1963 (copy enclosed) on the subject matter are reiterated again for information and compliance by Zonal Railways/PUs. I
