Sub: Calculation of Special Casual Leave (SCL) granted to sportspersons for sports activities.

Ref: This Office’s letter No. 2014/E(Sports)/4(2)/3(SCL) dt. 31/10/2016. [RBE No.129/2016]

Some of the Zonal Railway Sports Associations have sought clarifications as to whether the SCL granted by RSPB for different sports activities are to be counted in the 90 days SCL in a calendar year to be granted to sports persons by Zonal Railways as per Board’s letter under reference.

In this regard, it is advised that the SCL granted from RSPB for sports activities may not be taken into consideration for calculation of 90 days SCL granted to sports persons by Zonal Railways in a calendar year.
