Expected DA/DR from Jul, 2025 – All-India CPI-IW for the month of Mar, 2025 issued by Labour Bureau 30.04.2025
The All-India CPI-IW for March 2025 increased by 0.2 points, reaching a level of 143.0 (one hundred forty-three). Following three consecutive months of decline, this rise in the CPI-IW indicates that the expected Dearness Allowance/Dearness Relief (DA/DR) for Central Government Employees and Pensioners from July 2025 is projected to be 57.06% for the third month. The CPI-IW index for the remaining three months will provide the definitive figure for DA/DR for July 2025. Currently, the calculation process, along with expectations for the half-yearly increase in DA/DR, is halfway completed.
मार्च 2025 के लिए अखिल भारतीय CPI-IW में 0.2 अंकों की वृद्धि हुई, जो 143.0 (एक सौ तैंतालीस) पर पहुंच गया। तीन लगातार महीनों की गिरावट के बाद, CPI-IW में यह वृद्धि दर्शाती है कि जुलाई 2025 के लिए केंद्रीय सरकार के कर्मचारियों और पेंशनरों के लिए अपेक्षित महंगाई भत्ता/महंगाई राहत (DA/DR) तीसरे महीने में 57.06% होने का अनुमान है। शेष तीन महीनों के लिए CPI-IW सूचकांक जुलाई 2025 के लिए DA/DR का सटीक आंकड़ा प्रदान करेगा। वर्तमान में, DA/DR के आधे वार्षिक वृद्धि की अपेक्षाओं के साथ-साथ गणना प्रक्रिया आधे रास्ते में पूरी हो चुकी है।

Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (2016=100) – March, 2025
1. Labour Bureau, an attached office of the M/o Labour & Employment, has been compiling Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers every month on the basis of retail prices collected from 317 markets spread over 88 industrially important centres in the country. The index for the month of March, 2025 is being released in this press release.
2. The All-India CPI-IW for March, 2025 increased by 0.2 point and stood at 143.0 (one hundred forty three).
3. Year-on-year inflation for the month of March, 2025 stood at 2.95% as compared to 4.20% in March, 2024.
