Sub: Retention of Railway accommodation by Railway officers/staff on deputation to National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).
On consideration of a request received from NCRTC, the Full Board in exercise of the powers vested in it to make reasonable relaxations in public interest for a class/group of employees in all or any of the provisions regarding house allotment/retention, have decided that Railway officers/staff proceeding on deputation to NCRTC may be allowed to retain their Railway quarters allotted to them in Delhi/NCR, up to a maximum limit of 04 (four) Railway quarters, for a period of one year w.e.f. 20.06.2025 i.e. up to 20.06.2026 subject to the condition that NCRTC would provide leased accommodation to the officers of concerned Zonal Railway i.e. Northern Railway, for all houses retained by them, as per the officer’s choice according to Railway priority list, at the rate of lease entitlement of corresponding grade of officers of NCRTC. However, if leased accommodation is not being utilized by the Railways, an amount equivalent to leased accommodation or HRA of the officer retaining the accommodation, whichever is higher, may be deposited with the concerned Zonal Railway by NCRTC.
2. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
