(b) the reason for the diminishing interest shown by
the educated youth in appearing for the Civil Service Exams; and

the Ministry allow the students to write the exams for Indian Administrative
Services (IAS) in their mother tongue?

(a): State-wise data of candidates in the Civil Service
Examinations (CSE) is not compiled/maintained.
(b): The number of applicants
is increasing every year in the Civil Services Examination. Number of
applications received for CSE since 2008 is given below:

(c): The candidates have the option to answer all the question papers,
except the language papers, in any one of the languages included in the Eighth
Schedule to the Constitution of India or in English.

क्या प्रधान मंत्री यह बताने की कृपा करेंगे कि:
(क) गत पाँच वर्षों के दौरान सिविल सेवा परीक्षाओं में सफलता की राज्य-वार
प्रतिशतता क्या है;
(ख) सिविल सेवा परीक्षाओं में शिक्षित युवक-युवतियों की रुचि में लगातार गिरावट
आने के क्या कारण हैं; और
(ग) क्या मंत्रालय अभ्यर्थियों को भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (आईएएस) की परीक्षा
में अपनी-अपनी मातृ भाषा में लिखने की अनुमति देता है ?

(क) : सिविल सेवा परीक्षा के अभ्यर्थियों के राज्यवार आंकड़े संकलित नहीं किए
जाते हैं/उनका रख-रखाव नहीं किया जाता है ।
(ख्) : सिविल सेवा परीक्षा में आवेदकों की संख्या प्रति वर्ष बढ़ रही है ।
वर्ष 2008 से सिविल सेवा परीक्षा में प्राप्त आवेदनों की संख्या निम्नलिखित है
