CIRCULAR

Sub: Payment of Travelling Allowance (TA) to the Officer/staff for duties performed during Delht Legislative Assembly Elections-2025.

Instructions have been issued by the Finance Department (Policy Division), Government of NCT of Delhi vide their O.M. No.F.20/19/2013/AC/48-52 dated 06.01.2025 regarding Travelling Allowance (TA) to the employees of Delhi Govt./Central Govt./Autonomous Bodies etc. who have been detailed on Election Duty for General Election to Delhi Legislative Assembly-2025. Accordingly, it has been decided to permit payment of TA to the Officers/Staff of Railway Board who have performed election duty in various capacities for the conduct of General Election to Delhi Legislative Assembly-2025.

The concerned Officers/Staff of Railway Board who wish to claim TA may submit their TA Bills in triplicate mentioning the date-wise details of the election duties performed, duly certified by the respective ARO/RO/Sector Officer/SDM (Election)/Nodal Officer of concerned District Election Office for processing for payment along with Election ID Card, Duty Certificate and Election Duty Orders. It may be noted that such of the Officers/Staff of Railway Board who have performed long term duties may claim their TA as payable for their ‘to & fro’ official journey from their temporary Headquarters only as decided by Election Commission. Further, TA may be claimed by the Officers/Staff who have performed short term duties for their ‘to & fro’ journey on official duty as payable from their permanent Headquarters i.e. Railway Board offices at Rail Bhawan, Railway Office Complex, Tilak Bridge (previously known as COFMOW Building Complex) & Dayabasti and National Rail Museum, Chanakyapuri.

The payment of TA to the employees will be subject to the declaration of the employee that no official vehicle was arranged for them to perform the Election duties and neither they have claimed any TA from the concerned election office nor received any TA or advance in this regard.
