DEMAND SURVEY FOR HOUSING PROJECT IN VARIOUS CITIES
The Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation (CGEWHO) has successfully completed 34 housing projects across India since its inception in 1990. CGEWHO is committed to providing affordable housing exclusively for employees of the Central Government, Central PSUs, State Governments, Union Territories, Autonomous Bodies, Corporations & Nationalised Banks. CGEWHO have shown expression of interest in the following lands and in order to assess demand a survey is being conducted, so that the organisation may take up the housing project in the referred cities.

- Eligibility: The survey is open only to employees of the Central Government, Central PSUs, State Government, Union Territories, Autonomous Bodies, Corporation & Nationalised Banks.
- Reservations: 50% of Dwelling Units (DUs) will be reserved for the respondents of the Demand Survey, allocated based on priority as per CGEWHO rules.

DEMAND SURVEY FOR DWELLING UNIT IN VARIOUS CITIES
Introduction: Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation (CGEWHO), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 and was specifically established to execute housing projects for Central Government employees on a No Profit No Loss, self-financing basis across the country. Currently, CGEWHO has several ongoing housing schemes, including:
- Kolkata (Phase-III) (236 Dwelling Units)
- Greater Noida (Phase-II) (336 Dwelling Units)
- Sector-79 (SAS Nagar), Mohali (402 Dwelling Units)
- Vishakhapatnam (385 Dwelling Units)
In total, CGEWHO has completed 34 housing projects across various locations, providing around 17,796 flats in multiple cities.
This survey is being carried out without any commitment or need for an initial response amount. It serves to understand the demand and make informed decisions regarding the project.
TERMS & CONDITIONS (attached with this demand survey):
Eligible Categories:
Priority I
i) Central Government employees – Serving or Retired.
ii) Spouses of the deceased Central Govt employees or deceased retired employees.
iii) Employees of CGEWHO with a minimum of one year of service.
Priority II
i) Employees in service of Central PSUs, State Govts, Union Territory Administration, Autonomous bodies, corporations, nationalized banks etc.
ii) Serving uniformed employees of the Ministry of Defence and serving employees of Ministry of Railways.
Key Points to Note:
Reservations: 50% of the Dwelling Units (DUs) will be reserved for the respondents of the Demand Survey, allocated based on priority. Those of the respondents who do not get conformed allotment, they will be included in the draw, along with others who express interest when the scheme is officially announced. No claims will be accepted after the final date, as communicated to the respondents via letter, email, or SMS.
Procedure: Once the scheme is finalized, all Demand Survey respondents will be informed about the scheme details via an intimation letter, email, or SMS. At that stage, respondents will need to confirm their participation by submitting a form and application money(EMD) within the stipulated date as outlined in the official scheme brochure.
Cost & Completion Timeline:
i) The cost of the flats will be announced later, after the scheme is finalized.
ii) CGEWHO typically builds multi-storied buildings with lifts.
iii) The project will take | to 2 years for planning and announcing the scheme. The overall completion time for the project is expected to be around 4 years after the official scheme announcement.

Interested individuals should forward their application in the prescribed format on A4 size paper, providing the necessary details. The envelope should be clearly marked as “Demand Survey – ……………..” Applications must be submitted till 31/10/2025.
