Expected DA/DR from July 2026 @ 63%– All-India CPI-IW for the month of Feb, 2026 issued by Labour Bureau on 30.03.2026
The All-India CPI-IW for February 2026 decreased by 0.1 points and stands at 148.5 (one hundred forty-eight point five). This change in the CPI-IW marks the progress of the calculation for the expected DA/DR from July 2026 for Central Government employees and pensioners, with the calculation point reaching 61.39% in the second month. The CPI-IW indices for the remaining four months will determine the exact DA/DR figure for July 2026. If the CPI-IW remains stationary (no change) for the next four months, the DA/DR from July 2026 is projected to reach 63%.
The DA/DR from January 2026 has also been confirmed at 60%, reflecting a 2% increase over the previous rate. As per prevailing practice, this increase was expected to be approved by the Cabinet in March 2026, but it has been delayed. Central Government employees and pensioners are eagerly awaiting the Cabinet’s approval and the subsequent issuance of the Office Memorandum (OM) by the Department of Expenditure (DoE).
