OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Sub: Clarification on date of priority for allotment of General Pool Residential Accommodation to the employees granted temporary status under “Casual labourers(Grant of Temporary Status and Regularization) Scheme of Government of India, 1993”.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Directorate’s OM. No. 12035/20/94-Pol.ll(Pt.l) dated 27.8.2009 vide which allotment of GPRA was allowed to such temporary status employees who:
i. are working in eligible offices and have been awarded temporary status under the provisions of the Scheme called “Casual Iabourers(Grant of Temporary Status and Regularization) Scheme of Government of India, 1993”;
ii. have rendered service as temporary status for at least three years;
and
iii. is in receipt of House Rent Allowance.
2. There have been requests from various offices seeking clarification on the “date of! priority” for such temporary status employees for allotment of GPRA. The matter has been examined and it is clarified that the “date of priority” for allotment of GPRA to employees given temporary status under “Casual Iabourers(Grant of Temporary Status and Regularization) Scheme of Government of India. 1993”. shall be the date on which they complete three years of service as temporary status employees.
