“EIGHTH CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION”

1052: SMT. SAGARIKA GHOSE:
Will the Minister of Finance be pleased to state:

(a) the date of issuance of official notification approving the constitution of the Eighth Central Pay Commission (CPC);

(b) whether the Chairperson and Members of the Eighth CPC been finalized, if so, the details of names, designations, and official appointment orders, if not, specify the tentative timeline for their selection; and

(c) the Terms of Reference (ToR) assigned to the Eighth CPC and whether the Ministry has set a specific timeline for the commission to submit its recommendations, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

ANSWER

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE

(a): It has been decided by the Government to constitute the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC). Inputs have been sought from the major stakeholders. Official notification would be issued in due course.

(b): The Chairperson and Members of the 8th CPC would be appointed once the 8th CPC is notified by the Government.

(c): Inputs have been sought from major stakeholders, including Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Personnel & Training and from States. The Commission will make its recommendations within the timeline that will be provided in the Terms of Reference.

क्या वित मंत्री यह बताने की कृपा करेंगे किः

(क) आठवें केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग (सीपीसी) के गठन को मंजूरी देने वाली आधिकारिक अधिसूचना जारी होने की तिथि क्या है;

(ख) क्या आठवें केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग के नामों का चयन अंतिम रूप से हो गया है, यदि हाँ, तो उनके नाम, पदनाम और आधिकारिक नियुक्ति आदेशों का ब्यौरा क्या है और यदि नहीं, तो उनके चयन की संभावित समय-सीमा क्या है; और

(ग) आठवें केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग को सौंपे गए विचारार्थ विषय (टीओआर) क्या हैं और क्या मंत्रालय ने आयोग द्वारा अपनी सिफारिशें प्रस्तुत करने के लिए कोई विशिष्ट समय-सीमा निर्धारित की है, यदि हाँ, तो तत्संबंधी ब्यौरा क्या है और यदि नहीं, तो इसके क्या कारण हैं?

(क): सरकार ने 8वें केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग (सीपीसी) के गठन का निर्णय लिया है। प्रमुख हितधारकों से इनपुट मांगे गए है। आधिकारिक अधिसूचना यथासमय जारी की जाएगी।

(ख): सरकार द्वारा 8वें केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग को अधिसूचित कर दिए जाने के बाद आयोग के अध्यक्ष और सदस्यों की नियुक्ति की जाएगी।

(ग): रक्षा मंत्रालय, गृह मंत्रालय,कार्मिक एवं प्रशिक्षण विभाग और राज्यों सहित प्रमुख हितधारकों से इनपुट मांगे गए है। आयोग विचारार्थ विषय में निर्धारित समय-सीमा के भीतर अपनी सिफारिशें देगा।
