OFFICE ORDER

Whereas the post of Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (Grade II) is placed in Pay Level-11 of the Pay Matrix. Further, the Senior Time Scale (STS) is also placed in Pay Level-11 of the Pay Matrix and is granted to regular Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners on completion of four years of regular service. It is also noted that the post of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner is the feeder cadre for promotion to the post of Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (Grade II).

2. Accordingly, it is hereby clarified that the pay fixation benefit under FR 22(1)(a)(1) shall be admissible only once, i.e., either at the time of grant of Senior Time Scale or at the time of regular promotion to the post of Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (Grade II). In case the benefit under FR 22(1)(a)(1) has already been availed at one stage, the subsequent pay fixation shall be regulated under FR 22(1)(a)(2).
