Sub: Honorarium payable to various functionaries in Control Room for conducting examinations.

Ref: Board’s letter no. E(G)2010/HO1-38 dated 19.11.2018 (RBE No. 174/2018).

Please connect the above referred letter (RBE No. 174/2018), wherein the rates of honorarium payable to various officials deputed in Control Rooms on the dates of RRB/RRC examinations at Zonal Headquarters, Divisions, RRB offices and Railway Board (E/RRB) were prescribed. It has now been decided to modify the Control Room set-up stipulated vide RBE No. 174/2018 (copy enclosed) as per Annexure- ‘A’.

2. These changes include the addition of posts of ED-IH/E(RRB) and JSA/SSA/Steno of E(RRB) Directorate, Railway Board. The rates of honorarium payable to JSA/SSA/Steno shall be at par with those applicable to Group ‘C’ officials as mentioned in RBE No. 174/2018. Consequently, the total number of officials in the Control Room set-up at Railway Board (E/RRB) has increased from the existing six (06) to eight (08). The remaining changes involve only inclusion of additional designations, without any increase in the number of officials/staff deputed in the Control Room.

Further, the level and number of officials indicated in Annexure- ‘A’ shall be applicable for all examinations conducted by RRBs/RRCs. However, the actual number of officials to be deputed shall depend upon the schedule approved for-the particular examination.

3. These guidelines will be applicable from the commencement of Level-01 Examination (CEN 08/2024), which has started w.e.f. 27.11.2025, and will also apply to subsequent CENs issued by RRBs/RRCs.

4. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
