Sub.: Clarification regarding amount of Hostel Subsidy admissible to Railway Employees-reg.
Ref.: (i) Board’s letter No. E(W)2017/ED-2/3 dated 13.08.2018
(ii) Board’s letter No. 2024/E(W)/ED-2/2 dated 07.05.2024.
Attention is invited to Board’s above referred letters, whereby instructions regarding Children Education Allowance/Hostel Subsidy as modified from time to time by Department of Personnel & Training were circulated for mutatis-mutandis implementation on the Railways.
2. A Corrigendum vide OM No. A-27012/01/2023-Pers.Policy(AL) dated 30.06.2026 (copy enclosed) has been received from DoPT modifying clause 2(a) of their OM dated 25.04.2024 circulated vide reference (ii) above. The same is circulated herewith for guidance and mutatis-mutandis application on Railways.
3. Necessary action may be taken accordingly.
