Number of employees working in various Public Sector Banks (PSBs) in the country during the last three years, bank and cadre-wise

The requirement of manpower in Public Sector Banks (PSBs), interalia, depends upon the business volume, business growth, existing employee strength, retirements, etc. Accordingly, the Banks undertake recruitment of staff to fill vacancies on ongoing basis as per their requirements. A statement showing number of cadre-wise employees working in PSBs is annexed.

Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:-

(a) the number of employees working in various Public Sector Banks (PSBs) in the country during the last three years and the.^ current year, bank and cadre-wise;

(b) Whether there is any shortage of employees in various PSBs in the country;

(c) If so, the details thereof, bank-wise and

(d) the measures taken by the Government/Reserve Bank of India in this regard?
