Dear Comrades,
At the outset I on behalf of National Secretariat of Confederation, extend festive greetings and a very Happy New Year 2026 to all. As per the Confederation notice dated 13.01.26, an online National Executive Committee Meeting of the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Worker’s was held on 20th January 26 on virtual platform (through VC) under the chairmanship of Com. Rupak Sarkar President of Confederation.
19 National Executive Committee member’s representing 7 state CoCs and ten affiliates participated in the meeting.
The President welcomed all the participants and briefed about the importance and purpose of holding the meeting. One minute silence was observed to pay Homage to Martyr’s. The President invited the Secretary General to initiate the Discussions on the agenda items and place the report on the Program’s observed by Confederation including the 9th July strike and thereafter till date.
Secretary General briefed the house about the activities/developments taken place after the last NE meeting and till date. He informed that the participations of affiliates in 9th July strike, Lunch hour’s Demonstrations held on 20th August and 16th December- 2025. The holding of lunch hour Demonstration on 16th December 25 was partially success as it was held at about 65% of workplaces. He informed about the deliberations made and decisions taken at the National Convention of Worker’s held at New Delhi on 9th January 26 by Ten CTUs and Independent Federations. In the said Convention it was decided to observe one day strike on 12th February 26 against implementation of labour code act and other Sectorial Demands of Independent Federations.
All the National Executive Committee member’s present in the meeting participated in the discussion and placed their organizational status and stand on the proposed strike of 12th February. Members also raised queries on certain other issue’s, which were replied by by the President and Secretary General.
The following decisions were reached at after discussion and deliberations in the meeting;
- Confederation endorsed the strike of 12th February 26 and will observe on it’s charter of Demands as part A and CTUs/other sectional Demands as part B.
- All State CoCs should conduct Conventions and intensive campaigning for the strike, reach out to maximum offices and convince the common members to participate in the 12th February strike. National Secretariat member’s will campaign in their own circle and the adjacent circles to the maximum possible extent.
- AIC of the Confederation shall be conducted in second week of April 26 at; Hyderabad, to be hosted by AP & Telangana COC.
A circular will follow with the details of Notice, charter of Demands, campaign tour Program’s etc, soon.
The meeting ended with the President proposing the vote of thanks.
