Subject: Implementation of Reservation in Promotion for PwBD candidates in the LDCE mode of promotion to the cadre of Postal Service Group ‘B’ for the vacancy year 2016-17 onwards – reg.

Whereas, in compliance of the DoPT OM No.360121112020-Estt (Res-II) dated 28.12.2023, Department has taken a decision to extend the benefit of reservation in promotion to the PWBD candidates for promotion to the cadre of PS Gr. “B” for the vacancy year 2016-17 onwards. Accordingly, the eligibility of the PWBD candidates is to be assessed on the basis of the performance in the already held LDCEs i.e. on 18.12.2016 for the vacancy year 2016-17 (result declared on 10.04.2018), on 29.11.2020 for the vacancy years 2017-18, 2018, 2019 and 2020 (result declared on 01.06.2022) and on 04.06.2023 for the vacancy years 2021 , 2022 and 2023 (result declared on 26.12.2025).

2. A tentative list [Annexure-I and Annexure-II] of eligible PWBD candidates (appeared in the aforesaid LDCEs) has been prepared based on the information received from the Circles and the same is being published hereby on India Post website for information of all concerned and open scrutiny by the PwBD candidates who appeared in the aforesaid LDCEs. In case, the compiled information requires any modification, the objection may be raised through e-mail [Annexure-III] latest by 08.07 .2026 [1 730 hours] through respective Circles Authorities.

3. The Circles Authorities will also authenticate the attached list of PwBD candidates (appeared in the aforesaid LDCEs) as also the modification/addition brought to their knowledge by any affected PwBD candidate and submit the same to this office positively by 10.07.2026.

4. It may be noted that the reservation in promotion to the appeared and eligible PwBD candidates of the LDCE for the vacancy years 2021,2022 and 2023, held on 04.06.2023 (result declared on 26.12.2025) has already been granted. Any grievance in this regard may be preferred separately through concerned Circle Authorities.
