Sub: Avenue of promotion to the post of Tech. Gr. III in S&T Department.
Ref: Board’s letter No. E(NG)I/2018/PM8/1/Pt.I dated 14.06.2024 (RBE 52/2024).
As the Railways are aware, the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) was introduced for filling Technical Grade-III (Tech Gr-III) posts in the S&T Department as per Board’s letter No. RBE 52/2024 subject to the following conditions:
i) Essential educational qualification to be equivalent to the Direct Recruited Technician-III through RRB.
ii) Helper should have completed at least three years service and age should not be more than 45 years.
iii) Eligible candidates shall be selected through selection + Trade test.
iv) The selected staff shall undergo training same as direct recruits i.e. one year (52 Weeks) out of which 17 weeks shall be institutional training and 35 weeks field training.
2. The trade test mentioned in item (iii) above is a Trade test to be held at the end of training required after empanelment on passing the selection if empanelled staff is ITI pass in the relevant trade and on completion of a further training of 6 months if empanelled staff is not ITI pass in the relevant trade.
