RECRUITMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPISTS IN CGHS WELLNESS CENTRES

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the number of Physiotherapist Posts lying vacant, filled and under process of recruitment in CGHS Wellness Centres during the last three years along with the reasons for such vacant posts; and

(b) the time by which the process of recruitment for all the said posts is likely to be completed?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE

(a) and (b) Recruitment Rules for the post of Physiotherapist was notified on 24.06.2024. At present, one sanctioned post of Physiotherapist under CGHS is vacant. Presently, five Physiotherapists are posted at Medical Centre, Parliament House Annexe from the strength of Safdarjung Hospital & Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi.

Physiotherapy services can be availed in any public health facility under the Government or through any CGHS empanelled private Health Care Organizations. There is also a provision for home based (Domiciliary) physiotherapy for CGHS beneficiaries as per guidelines issued vide this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No. S-11011/24/2011-CGHS(P) dated 01.06.2011.
