Sub: – Implementation of Settlement module of HRMS reg.

The Settlement Module of Human Resource Management System (HRMS) was launched on 26th November, 2020 to enable processing of all the Settlement cases in Indian Railways digitally.

2. The usage of Settlement module is now witnessing widespread acceptance across the Railways and for the month of July and August, 2021, more than 75% Settlement cases for Normal Retirement have been processed through HRMS.

3. Though the efforts taken by Railways in implementation of the Settlement Module is highly appreciated, it has been advised by CRIS that the said module and the required data recovery systems are presently undergoing stabilization phase and the process is presently under extensive supervision of Board and CRIS.

4. In view of the above, all the Railways are requested to maintain a physical copy of the Settlement documents in addition to processing the cases through HRMS as these are extremely crucial documents. These measures are only required till the time Settlement Module and the relevant security protocols are stabilised.
