Reference is invited to HQrs. Office Most Important Circular cited under reference regarding restructuring of SAS Examination (Computer Based Test) and notification of SAS Rules 2019 enclosed as Annexure “A”.
2. As per approval accorded by the Competent Authority following amendment in Rule 6 of SAS Rules 2019 regarding number of chances for appearing in SAS Examination may be carried out :-

|There is no restriction for candidates for appearing in the SAS Part-l and SAS Part-II Examination. Only those who pass Part-I, will be allowed to appear in Part-II of the examination.||Candidates appearing for the SAS Part-I Examination are eligible to sit for the examination upto a maximum of four occasions. Similarly, candidates appearing for the SAS Part-II examination are eligible to sit for the examination upto a maximum of four occasions. Additional chances may, however, be permitted by the CGDA as per merit of each case.|
3. Further, it is clarified that in term of Rule 2 of SAS Rules 2019, only those candidates who qualify the SAS Part-1 examination will appear in SAS Part-II examination.
