Sub: Revision of rates of stipend to apprentices and trainees on Railways/clarification.
Ref: Railway Board’s letterNo.PC-V/2016/PS/1 (Stipend)(E)dt.02.02.2017 (RBE No. 08/2017) and 15.07.2022 (RBE No. 83/2022)
The issue of revision of stipend for those apprentices/trainees who have undergone training of 75 days in Station Master category had been under examination in consultation with Estt. Dte. In continuation to Board’s letter No. PC-V/2016/PS/1(Stipend)(E) dated 15.07.2022, wherein the rates of stipend for the category of Station Masters undergoing training for 90 days has been prescribed at Rs. 35400 at S.No. 44 under Traffic and Commercial Department, it has now been decided that stipend to apprentices/trainees in Station Master category who have undergone training of 75 days as per para 122(2)(iii) of IREM Vol. I, Advance correction slip No. 241, may be revised as under:-

2. The above revised rates of stipend shall be applicable with effect from 16.02.2018, i.e., the date of issue of Advance correction Slip No. 241.
3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
