Will the PRIME MINISTER be pleased to state:

(a) whether DoPT OM No. 28034/9/2009-Estt. (A) dated 30.09.2009 on posting of husband and wife at the same station applies to employees of Centrally funded autonomous/Statutory bodies and institutes and if not, the reasons therefor;

(b) whether any clarification/amendment is proposed to extend it to such bodies and if so, the details thereof and timeline fixed therefor; and

(c) the details regarding its applicability to autonomous/statutory bodies and in the Central Government by Central acts/rules?

ANSWER

(a): The Government has issued instructions vide DOPT OM No. 28034/9/2009-Estt. (A) dated 30.09.2009 to all Ministries/ Department on posting of husband and wife at the same station, where one of the spouse is in Central Government service.

(b) & (c): No proposal for extending the scope to autonomous/Statutory bodies and institutes is under consideration of the Government.
