Subject: Revision of withdrawal limit for Aadhaar authenticated (e-KYC) transactions without voucher — reg.
Madam / Sir,
Kindly refer to SB Order No. 01/2025 dated 01.01.2025 regarding introduction of paperless KYC (e-KYC) process for POSB transactions.
2. In this regard, attention is invited to Para 6 of the above-mentioned SB Order, which provides that:
“No voucher (pay-in-slip) shall be collected for any deposit transaction irrespective of transaction amount and for withdrawal transactions amounting to ₹5,000/- or less, when transaction is performed on Aadhaar Authentication basis.”
3. It has now been decided by the Competent Authority to revise the limit of withdrawal through Aadhaar Authentication without voucher (pay-in-slip or withdrawal form). Accordingly, Para 6 of SB Order No. 01/2025 stands modified as under:
“No voucher (pay-in-slip or withdrawal form) shall be collected for any deposit transaction irrespective of transaction amount and for withdrawal transactions amounting to %20,000/- or less, when the transaction is performed on Aadhaar Authentication basis.”
4. The limit of withdrawal mentioned in the SOP annexed with SB Order No. 01/2025 shall also be read as 20,000/-, with all other provisions remaining unchanged.
5. It is requested to circulate it to all concemed for information and necessary guidance. This may also be placed on the notice board of all Post Offices in public area.
6. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
