Subject: Incentive for acquiring fresh higher qualification by the officials of the Defence Accounts Department.
The undersigned is directed to invite reference to Ministry of Defence, DAD – Coord ID No.10(3)/ DAD/C/ 2024(Cir) (Vol-I)(pf) dated 08.09.2025 and to convey the approval of the Competent Authority for grant of one time lump sum incentive to the officials of the Department on acquiring the following higher qualifications:

2. The scheme shall come into existence with immediate effect i.e. from the date of issuance of this letter.
3. The rates of incentives admissible to the officials of Defence Accounts Department will be determined on the basis of level of courses (PG/Degree/Diploma) and length of the course as mentioned in Para 5 of DoPT’s OM dated 15.03.2019. The courses listed above must be approved by MoHRD, UGC or Govt. accredited/ statutory institutions/ autonomous institutions approved by MoHRD like (IITS/IIMs).
4. The one-time lump sum payment to officials upon acquiring higher qualifications shall be made by the respective Controller’s Offices, subject to verification of the Degree/Diploma/Certificate and confirmation that the criteria/guidelines laid down in Para 8 of DoPT OM dated 15.03.2019 have been duly fulfilled.
