Subject: Re-distribution of Gr ‘C’ & ‘D’ posts for deputation to Army Postal Service (APS)- Fixation of number of deputationists from the Circles-reg.
Sir/Madam,
I am directed to refer to this office’ letter of even number dated 13.12.2022, on the subject mentioned above, vide which 3029 posts of Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ were re-distributed among the Circles for deputation to Army Postal Service.
2. Addl. DG, APS, vide letter no. 90413/GP ‘C’& ‘D’/APS-1C dated 10.02.2026, has intimated that consequent upon approval for retention of 25% regular cadre personnel in APS, the requirement of personnel on depuation has reduced from 3029 to 2272. Thus the deputation reserve quota may be revised proportionately, as per present strength of 2272. ccordingly, re-distribution of 2272 posts among the Circles has been is given in Annexure to this letter.
3. Circles are requested to maintain the sanctioned strength of ‘APS Deputation Reserve’ as per Annexure, and ensure that authorized manpower of Circle Deputation Reserve is serving at APS, at any point of time. APS, through SPN Branch of Personnel Division of this Directorate, will continue to inform concerned Circles regarding anticipated vacancies/deficiencies and requirement of volunteers.
4. Issues relating to deputation/provision of manpower and filling up of posts against the sanctioned strength of APS shall continue to be dealt with by the SPN Branch of Personnel Division of this Directorate.
5. This is in supersession of this office’ letter of even number dated 13.12.2022.
6. This issues with the approval of the Member (Pers).
