Confirmed DA/DR from July 2026 at 63% – All-India CPI-IW for May 2026 Released by the Labour Bureau on 30.06.2026
The All-India CPI-IW for May 2026 increased by 0.9 points and stood at 150.8 points (one hundred fifty point eight). This change in the CPI-IW marks the progress of the calculation for the expected DA/DR from July 2026 for Central Government employees and pensioners, with the calculation point reaching 63.15% in the fifth month. Now, the confirmed figure of DA/DR for July has arrived at the rate of 63% as per the table given below. If a major increase of 3.0 points, a major decrease of 5.0 points, or no change occurs in the index for the next month, the DA/DR figure will remain constant at 63% from July 2026.
The CPI-IW index for the remaining one month will confirm this expectation in the DA/DR figure for July 2026, and it can be concluded that the DA/DR from the month of July 2026 is confirmed to be 63%.
मई 2026 के लिए अखिल भारतीय CPI-IW (औद्योगिक श्रमिकों के लिए उपभोक्ता मूल्य सूचकांक) में 0.9 अंक की वृद्धि दर्ज की गई है और यह 150.8 अंक (एक सौ पचास दशमलव आठ) पर रहा। CPI-IW में यह परिवर्तन केंद्र सरकार के कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों के लिए जुलाई 2026 से अपेक्षित DA/DR (महंगाई भत्ता/महंगाई राहत) की गणना की प्रगति को दर्शाता है, जिसके तहत पांचवें महीने में गणना बिंदु 63.15% तक पहुंच गया है। अब, नीचे दी गई तालिका के अनुसार जुलाई के लिए DA/DR का पुष्ट आंकड़ा 63% की दर पर आ गया है। यदि अगले महीने के सूचकांक में 3.0 अंक की बड़ी वृद्धि, 5.0 अंक की भारी कमी, या कोई परिवर्तन नहीं होता है, तो जुलाई 2026 से DA/DR का आंकड़ा 63% पर ही स्थिर रहेगा।
शेष एक महीने का CPI-IW सूचकांक जुलाई 2026 के लिए DA/DR के आंकड़े में इस अपेक्षा की पुष्टि करेगा, और यह निष्कर्ष निकाला जा सकता है कि जुलाई 2026 के महीने से DA/DR 63% होना सुनिश्चित है।

Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (2016=100) – May, 2026
1. Labour Bureau, an attached office of the M/o Labour & Employment, has been compiling Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers every month on the basis of retail prices collected from 317 markets spread over 88 industrially important centres in the country. The index for the month of May, 2026 is being released in this press release.
2. The All-India CPI-IW for May, 2026 increased by 0.9 points and stood at 150.8 points (one hundred fifty point eight).
3. Year-on-year inflation for the month of May, 2026 stood at 4.72% as compared to 2.93% in May, 2025.
